Our development process involves 3 key methods of testing to verify the design: computer simulations, controlled laboratory testing and in-field testing. This process is a repetitive process as the product is fine tuned.
We use FEA to understand the initial robustness of the design. This ensures our design is going in the right direction before it’s even made.
Once we are happy with the design direction, we fabricate prototypes and perform real testing both in the lab and in the field.
Our design is rigorously tested over and over again using a dedicated shaker rig. The purpose of this testing is to ensure the product can handle the lifetime loading that it will see, such as continuous corrugation’s and repetitive larger features you may encounter on and off-road.
Our products have been tested to:
All this far exceeds the expected lifetime of the products.
Finally, we test all our products in the real world. This is where everything comes together in real world scenarios.
Throughout this testing, we put the bike racks through hard hits to ensure it won’t let you down in those extreme conditions.
We also use a number of sensors attached to the bike racks during the testing to record critical data that can be fed back into the laboratory testing and computer simulations.
